The 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease will take place this weekend at the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a fundraising effort to help find a cure for this currently incurable disease. This year’s goal is to raise $30,000. Happening this Sunday, there won’t just be a walk, there will also be a powerful ceremony, says organizer Juliett Bradley.
Registration for the walk will begin at 1:30 pm, the ceremony will start at 2:30 pm, and the walk itself will kick off at 2:45 pm. Registration is free, but Bradley hopes for each participant to raise $100, which will win them the event’s t-shirt. More information is available at act.alz.org.
