Cyclists are gearing up for a big event in Flint Hills Trail State Park on Saturday.
Rush the Rails will take cyclists along the full length of the trail — if they so choose. There are five ride distances, with starts at 6 am at Osawatomie, 8 am at Ottawa, 10 am at Pomona, noon at Admire and 1 pm at Bushong. All riders will gather in Council Grove at the end.
Registration costs vary. For starters at Osawatomie and Ottawa, the cost is $80. The registration dips to $55 for starters at Pomona, $40 for riders starting in Admire and $25 for riders starting their event at Bushong.
