Smoke from a pan triggered a run by Emporia firefighters to Presbyterian Manor on Friday.
Fire crews were called out to Room 302 after a reported structure fire. Battalion Chief Tony Fuller says a pan was left unattended on the stove, causing a lot of smoke but no fire.
Firefighters ventilated the apartment space. Nobody was hurt and there was no report of damage.
