The Emporia State soccer team is in first place in the MIAA standings after their 4-0 win over Northwest Missouri State Sunday.
Hannah Woolery gave the Lady Hornets the early lead with a goal in the 27th minute of play.
MacKenzie Dimarco scored the first of her 2 goals in the 44th minute of play.
Dimarco added her second goal in the 64th minute of play.
Dimarco has now scored 13 goals this season and that leads the MIAA.
Daniela Cardona closed out the scoring with a goal in the 80th minute of play.
Tori Bailey earned the win in goal. Bailey replaced starting goalie Jillian Patton in the 19th minute play after and injury.
The Lady Hornets out shot Northwest 12-2 on goal.
The Lady Hornets are now 8-2 for the season and 3-0 in MIAA play.
They play at Rogers State Friday.
