An evidentiary hearing is slated for Tuesday in the case of a former high school football and track coach convicted several years ago for making illegal drugs.
Dave Wasylk was one of three people convicted after alleged meth activity at 1101 Union and the 2200 block of Road H-5. The 52-year-old Wasylk’s conviction was for aiding and abetting meth manufacture. He’s currently serving over 20 years in prison.
Before his conviction, Wasylk operated Emporia’s Dugout Bar and Grill for several years. He also coached the Hartford football team and served as a physical education teacher, football coach and track coach at several schools, including Reading and Hartford.
The hearing is at 9 am in Lyon County District Court.
