Two goals 2:30 a part in the final 9 minutes of play lifted Topeka Seaman to a 2-1 win over the Emporia High boys soccer team Thursday night.
The Spartans scored first, Wilber Landaverde scored with over 3 minutes to play in the first half. That lead held up until the final 9 minutes of play. Emporia High Coach Victor Ibarra said Seaman may have wanted the win more at the end.
The Spartans fall to 9-3 for the season and 5-2 in Centennial League play. Their next match will be next Tuesday at Berean Academy.
