The Emporia State volleyball team was defeated by Pittsburg State in 5 sets Friday night.
Emporia State won the first set 25-17. Then lost the 2nd set 18-25. They won the 3rd set 25-20. Pittsburg State won the 4th set 25-18 and the 5th set 15-11.
Yuchen Du led the Emporia State offense with 13 kills. Jessica Hayes finished with 12 kills. Shelby Ebert finished with 11 kills and 12 digs. Emma Dixon had 33 assists. Rylie Fornelli and Shelby Innes both finished with 16 digs.
The Lady Hornets play at Missouri Southern Saturday.
