It was a short stay at State for the Emporia High tennis doubles team of Drina Herrarte and Koey Keough, they were defeated in their first two matches.
They were defeated by Searl and Searl of Kapaun Mt. Carmel 6-2,7-5 in the first round. They lost to Biggs and Unruh of Topeka Seaman in their 2nd round match.
