(kuathletics) Kansas Athletics announced Monday that an agreement has been made with the University of Missouri to reignite the Border Showdown rivalry that will feature six men’s basketball games, with the first matchup slated for next season on December 12, 2020 at Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Until 2012, the Border Showdown was known as the longest continuous rivalry west of the Mississippi River.

The AP basketball preseason poll is out. Michigan State is number 1 followed by Kentucky, Kansas is ranked 3rd.
Duke and Louisville round out the top 5.
Only 2 other teams out of the Big-12 are in the top 25.
Texas Tech is ranked 13th and Baylor 16th.
The Jayhawks host Fort Hays State in an exhibition game Thursday. They tip-off the regular season November 5th when they play number 4 ranked Duke in the Tournament of Champions. The other game in the tournament of champions will have #1 Michigan State playing #2 Kentucky.
