Some spooky happenings will take place at Twin Rivers Winery and Gourmet Shoppe on Thursday.
Organizers of the No Coast Film Festival have set up a — well, what else — movie-based trivia night focused on Halloween. On KVOE’s Newsmaker segment this week, spokesperson Rosalie Krenger said the questions will be presented in several ways.
Proceeds will help fund a range of projects and public activities leading up to the second No Coast Film Festival next fall. Fellow organizer Gabe Moore says those events, which are currently under development, and the actual film festival are designed to create what he calls a “movie culture” in Emporia.
Activities start at 6 pm. Cost is $25 per team of six. Participation tickets can be purchased at Twin Rivers. Costumes are encouraged. For more information, find the event on Facebook.
