The Emporia Farmers Market will be having its final market of the current season on Saturday.
The final market will take place from 8:30-10:30 am and will involve new musicians, the Master Gardeners Resources, pumpkin painting, and hot and home-made breakfast burritos. Children will receive market bucks during the event and will get a bonus for coming to the event in costume.
The indoor winter markets will begin the following weekend on Nov. 2nd and will continue on the first and third of every month until April.
Farmers Market Manager Jessica Hopkins says that the indoor market will feature more speciality food items rather than produce such as greens and herbs.
Americus and Olpe will also be seeing a final market to end out the final season. Americus will have its event Saturday evening after which they will be closed until next spring. The olpe market will see its finale on Monday from 5-630 pm with the market also closing down until next spring.
