The Emporia High cross country and volleyball teams will be competing for trips to state and the Gymnastics team will be competing for state titles Saturday.
Emporia High cross country teams will be running at the Lake Afton regional in Wichita.
Miranda Taylor will be one of the runners for the Lady Spartans.
Caleb Hollembeck will be one of the runners for the Emporia High boys.

The top 3 teams and top 10 individuals will advance to State.
Emporia High volleyball team will be playing at the Maize South Sub-State. They will open against Andover Central.
Senior Rayanna Breshears says they will need to play with the right attitude.
If Emporia High wins their first match they will play number 1 seed Maize South.
The State high school gymnastics meet will be held today at Olathe South. Emporia High will have 2 gymnasts competing.
Karalyn Karjala will compete on the Floor Exercise and Vault.
Journey Walburn will compete on the Floor.
