The Emporia State men finished in 7th place and the women finished in 8th place at the MIAA Cross Country Championship Saturday.
The men were led by Matthew Maki who finished 11th and Gabe Sams 15th to earn MIAA honorable mentions.
The women were led by Sarah Schaar who finished 27th, Joanna Strecker finished 36th.
Missouri Southern won the mens championship. Pittsburg State won the womens championship.
