The first snowflakes of the fall are expected this week.
A rain-snow mix is possible across the KVOE listening area after sunset Monday. Little to no accumulation is expected, although there could be isolated slick spots as overnight temperatures dip to the mid-20s.
A second storm system could have a lengthier impact later this week, although the exact level of impact is yet to be determined. Rain or freezing rain and snow mixes are expected at times from Tuesday night into early Thursday with snow possible Thursday as well. Accumulation amounts have not been announced at this time.
