The Emporia High boys soccer team was defeated by McPherson 2-1 in the regional championship match Thursday night.
McPherson scored both of their goals in the 1st half. Emporia High scored their goal with 35:38 to play in the match. Elijah Williams scored the goal for the Spartans. Emporia High ends their season with a 13-5 record.
