Sentencing is coming Tuesday morning for one of two defendants in a set of local business burglary cases from earlier this year.
Leslie Fontenot will be in Lyon County District Court for sentencing at 10 am.
Almost two months ago, Fontenot pleaded no contest to a single count of conspiracy to commit burglary after the Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal burglary on May 16 and a single count of conspiracy to commit theft after the TP Jewelry and Pawn burglary on May 9. Fontenot was first accused of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, felony theft and felony criminal damage in connection to those incidents. She was also charged with conspiracy to commit theft, attempted theft and criminal damage after what authorities say was a robbery attempt at Giefer’s Car Wash, 101 South Commercial, on May 16.
Those additional charges have been dismissed.
Co-defendant Nicholas Hall was sentenced last week to 31 months in prison after pleading to burglary at Kari’s Diamonds, theft at TP Jewelry and Pawn and criminal damage at Mr. G’s Car Wash, 716 East 12th.
