Potential trial dates for two men and a woman are now on the Lyon County docket after two Emporia businesses were allegedly robbed earlier this year — including one business allegedly hit twice within a week.
On Friday, Lyon County Judge Lee Fowler set potential trial dates of Dec. 10, Jan. 13 and Feb. 10 for Daniel McClead and Dec. 10, Jan. 13 and Feb. 3 for Ruby Garza. Both will have final pretrial hearings Dec. 4.
Both McClead and Garza, along with Gustavo Perez-Garcia, face charges after the alleged robberies of Casey’s convenience store, 126 South Commercial, on June 5 and June 9, as well as the alleged robbery of Angelina’s Fashion, 328 Commercial, on June 9. McClead and Perez-Garcia are formally charged with three counts each of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, while Garza faces single counts of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and possession of stolen property.
