Bushong honored fallen veterans on Sunday during the North Lyon County Veterans Memorial Home of the Brave celebration.
The service featured a number of war re-enactors to entertain and educate the public like local Army veteran Steve Hood.
The celebration had a memorial service that involved prayer, playing taps, and a 21 gun salute.
This was the first such event at the North Lyon County Veterans Memorial, which has been in the fundraising mode for several years and in the construction phase for close to two years. For more information, visit the memorial’s Facebook page.
