Wednesday is the first day of the early signing period for college athletics, except football. Several Emporia State teams announced the signing of student athletes.
Emporia State mens basketball coach Craig Doty has announced the signing of Nick Reed a 6-7 guard from Central City, Iowa. He was the leading scorer in the state of Iowa last year averaging 32 points a game.
Emporia State soccer coach Bryan Sailer has announced the addition of 5 players:
Angie Palmer from Maize South where she has been named the Ark Valley Chisome Trail division II player of the year and was a first team All State and All League selection.
Mallory Stegman from Maize High School where she was a 1st team all state and all league last year.
Kyleigh Roe from Pleasant Hill, Missouri where she was a 1st team all state selection.
Sophia Pope from Shawnee Mission Northwest.
and Olivia Busengdal from Stordal, Norway.
Emporia State softball Coach April Rosales announced the signing of Alexis Dial an outfield/utility player from Topeka, Shawnee Heights High School.
