Kansas State needed a strong 2nd half to defeat Monmouth 73-54 Wednesday night.
The Wildcats trailed 29-20 at halftime. In the 2nd half they out scored Monmouth 53-25. Kansas State Coach Bruce Weber says its tough to explain.
Xavier Sneed scored a team high 15 points. Makol Mawien added 11 points for the Wildcats as they improve to 3-0 for the season. They will host Arkansas Pine Bluff Tuesday.
Monmouth plays at Kansas Friday night.
