One individual was taken to Newman Regional Health and one was arrested following a two-vehicle injury accident in Emporia Friday afternoon.
According to the Emporia Fire Department, crews arrived at the intersection of West Sixth Ave. and State Street following a collision between an F-150 pickup truck and a Nissan Altima. The truck was traveling southbound on State Street and collided with the driver’s side of the Altima which was traveling eastbound on Sixth.
The driver of the Altima, a woman, was taken to Newman Regional Health with what are being called minor injuries. Three passengers in the truck refused transport, however, one occupant was arrested at the scene for currently unknown reasons.
