A possible electrical fire at an Emporia gas station is being investigated.
Emporia Fire went to Casey’s East at Sixth and Whildin just after 11 am. Battalion Chief Ryan Conley says an electrical panel suffered obvious damage, but the cause is not yet known.
No injuries were reported.
Separately, Emporia firefighters helped to handle a small grass fire east of town. The fire developed in the 1600 block of Road V-6 around 11:30 am. Further details are pending.
