The Salvation Army of Emporia is just about ready to launch its annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign.
The formal kickoff will be at 11 am Friday at the Emporia Arts Center. Salvation Army Capt. Deb Thompson says part of the kickoff will be a chance to vote for your favorite redecorated kettle and donate to the cause at the same time.
Bell ringers will be raising funds for the Salvation Army through Christmas Eve. The fundraising goal will be announced during Friday’s kickoff along with related fundraising activities.
