(ku) The Kansas Jayhawks went toe to toe with number 22 ranked Iowa State. The Cyclone rallied for a 41-31 win over the Jayhawks.
Kansas led 24-21 going into the 4th quarter. Iowa State would score twice in the final 5:10 to earn the win.
Pooka Williams Jr., surpassed the 2,000 career yards mark on Saturday, carrying the ball 19 times for 154 yards, while hauling in one touchdown pass. Williams becomes the first Jayhawk to rush for 2,000 or more yards in his first two seasons as a Jayhawk since Gale Sayers.
Quarterback Carter Stanley completed threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns.
The Jayhawks fall to 3-8 for the season and 1-7 in Big-12 play.
They will close out the season next Saturday when they host Baylor.
