As the community prepares to sit down for Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, Walnut Elementary School is reminding the community to come get in a good run before digging in.
The annual Walnut Turkey Day Dash will once again be held Thanksgiving morning at the school. Late registration and packet pickup for the run will take place Wednesday at Walnut from 10 am to 6 pm.
Late registration will also take place the morning of the event starting at 6:30 am. The cost of registration is $10 for children 1-17 years old and $20 for adults 18 and older
Walnut Principal Jami Dakin reminds residents the 5K run and walk will not be the only activity taking place Thursday.
Medals will be awarded for the top three male and female finishers in each age category. The run will begin at 7:30 am for more information or to register online find Walnut Turkey Day Dash 2019 on Active.com.
