Emporia State’s Jessica Wayne has been named the MIAA Womens basketball player of the Week.
Wayne recorded the first triple-double by a Lady Hornet since 2001 and the first in the MIAA since 2014. Wayne accomplished the feat with 18 points, 11 rebounds and a school-record 11 steals in a non-conference win over Washburn. Wayne also logged 21 minutes of action in ESU’s win over Bethel as she finished with seven points and eight steals.
