The Emporia High boys swim and dive team had 9 top 8 finishes at the Emporia High Invitational Thursday.
Emporia High diver Reed Slayden finished in 1st place and automatically qualified for State.
The 200 free relay team of Andrew Wendling, Cal Kohlmeier, Max Piper and Mason Harmon finished in 2nd place with a consideration time for State.
Andrew Wendling finished in 5th place with a state consideration time in the 50 free.
Max Piper placed 3rd in the 100 free and 8th in the 200 free.
Mason Harmon finished in 5th place in the 200 free and 7th in the 500 free.
The 400 free relay team of Andrew Wendling, Maximus Kelly, Caden Wilson and Max Piper finished in 4th place.
The 200 medley relay team of Maximus Kelly, Cal Kohlmeier, Mason Harmon and Andrew Wendling finished in 7th place.
