The Emporia High boys wrestling team finished in 3rd place at the Ark City duel tournament Saturday.
The Spartans won 3 of their 5 duels.
The Spartans defeated Wichita South 40-34.
They lost to Maize 56-22, defeated Team X 56-15, lost to Ark City 49-15 and defeated Kapaun Mt. Carmel 36-32.
Whitney Hall at 220 pounds and TeShawn Ervin won all 5 of their matches.
The Emporia High girls had 4 first place finishes in their tournament.
Miranda Taylor finished first at 123 pounds.
Maddie Griffin placed first at 130 pounds.
Gloria Peraza placed first in the 143A division.
Kiana Flores placed first in the 170A division.
