Abnormally dry conditions are now pushing into Lyon County.
The latest Drought Monitor map has abnormally conditions from just west of Olpe northwest to Saffordville and on into western Morris County. Far northwest Greenwood County is also affected.
Conditions have gotten quite dry since the middle of September. The KVOE studios picked up almost two inches of rain around Thanksgiving but nothing since then.
This has also become one of the wettest years in recent memory with 56.68 inches of rain to date. The record at KVOE is 65.24 inches in 1973.
