Abnormally warm conditions, dry grasses and gusty winds have set the table for very high fire danger areawide.
Osage County has announced a county-wide burn ban through 8 am Thursday. All burn permits are currently suspended.
Osage is the only area county to suspend open burning due to the conditions. However, temperatures approaching 70 degrees and southerly winds at or above 30 mph will make fires difficult to control if they develop anywhere in the KVOE listening area.
KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media will have updates as warranted.
