One of three defendants in a business robbery case from this past summer in Emporia has a motions hearing in the case Thursday.
Gustavo Perez-Garcia has a hearing at 3 pm in Lyon County District Court.
Perez-Garcia is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery after two alleged incidents at the Casey’s convenience store on South Commercial and on e at Angelina’s Fashion in early June.
Co-defendant Ruby Garza has a hearing Jan. 14 on charges of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and possession of stolen property. Another co-defendant, Daniel McClead, is awaiting sentencing on Valentine’s Day after pleading no contest to two robbery counts earlier this month.
