There have been no significant changes to the Drought Monitor coverage maps now for two weeks, despite widespread snowfall approaching six inches for some area residents in mid-December.
Rain is expected areawide for the upcoming weekend, with anywhere from half an inch to over 2 inches possible through early Sunday morning. The Drought Monitor won’t have an update until Jan. 2.
