If you’re looking for the right place to ring in the new year, then look no further than the Granada Theatre.
The theatre will be hosting its New Year’s Eve party starting at 7 pm Tuesday evening. This year’s theme will be “a roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve” and all in attendance are invited to dress in their best 20’s attire.
Along with food, drink, a countdown and a ball drop the evening will also feature an exciting line up of live music courtesy of Emporia’s own Weda Skirts, Unfit Wives of Lawrence and Dewayn Brothers who actually took the stage of the Granada during its grand re-opening back in 2008.
Dewayn Brothers guitarist Eric Nelson says they are excited to be a part of such an eclectic line up and more importantly to be returning to the Granada stage.
Along with the music, party favors will also be given out to the first 100 people in the building. Doors open at 6:45 pm with the party officially getting underway at 7 pm.
