Saturday’s heavy rain led to the closure of a low-water crossing near Emporia.
On Monday, the Lyon County Highway Department closed Rado 180 between Roads S and T. The crossing washed out and needs repairs. The closure could last until Jan. 6 or Jan. 7.
Lyon County saw some heavy rain totals Saturday, including:
*KVOE studios: 2.4 inches
*East Emporia: 1.6 inches
*North Emporia: 1.97 inches
*Allen: 2.25 inches
*Americus area: 2.9 inches
*Northeast Greenwood County: 1.25 inches
