The Emporia State basketball teams play their first games of 2020 Wednesday evening.
The 20th ranked Lady Hornets host Missouri Valley. Coach Toby Wynn says he is not sure what to expect.
The Lady Hornets are 8-2 and have won their last 5 and 8 of their last 9. Junior Kali Martin hopes they can pick up where they left off.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 at White Auditorium.
The womens game will be followed by the Emporia State men playing Baker. The Hornets have not played since their win over Fort Hays State on December 7th. Coach Craig Doty says this game is about shaking the rust off.
The Hornets are 7-3 and have won 4 in a row and have won 7 of their last 8 games. Junior Zac Owens says this game is about getting ready for the rest of the season.
Tip-off for the mens game is set 7:30p. The games will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
