Former Emporia chiropractor Eric Hawkins has surrendered his Kansas medical license.
Hawkins had his license suspended in July 2018 shortly before he was formally charged with sexually assaulting three women between 2016 and 2018. He was ultimately found not guilty as the case involving two of the women went to trial last year, and he reached a plea agreement to simple battery in the case of the third.
Hawkins received his medical degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1997 and was first licensed in Kansas in 2006. He actually had his license renewed in January 2019 even as it was under suspension.
Hawkins has since moved to Texas. He can apply for reinstatement of his Kansas license, but he has to wait at least three years to do so. He has to pay over $1,200 in associated costs by July 1 and he has to turn over all his records to another chiropractor.
