Osage City officers are investigating after an incident involving a hit-and-run crash and gunshots Monday night.
Police Chief Fred Nech says the incident developed in the 200 block of North Eighth after a reported altercation. Osage City Police and Osage County deputies responded.
A currently-unnamed adult male who lives near the incident site was apparently hit by a white dually truck, which left the scene. The man was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment.
Subsequent investigation determined there were gunshots at the scene. No gunshot-related injuries have been reported.
