Formal charges are pending after a vehicle pursuit across parts of three counties over the weekend.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy ran a tag on a vehicle Saturday and then tried to stop it after it was reported as stolen, but the driver then fled east on US Highway 54. The resulting chase went into Woodson County and then north into Coffey County before it stopped on US Highway 75 south of BETO Junction.
Frankie Valdieso, age and hometown not listed, was arrested on suspicion of felony flee and elude, driving while suspended, felony criminal damage, possession of stolen property, reckless driving, illegal registration and not having insurance.
