A two-vehicle wreck in southeast Emporia led to injuries for one of the drivers Tuesday afternoon.
A CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness car collided with an R+L Carriers semi at the corner of South and East just after 2 pm. Emporia Police officers on scene say the semi was eastbound on South, while the CrossWinds car was southbound on East. The CrossWinds car apparently started across the intersection, hesitated and continued — only to be hit behind the passenger-side rear door by the semi.
The CrossWinds driver was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment. The semi driver was not hurt. Names have not been released.
