The Kansas Turnpike Authority has announced an outline of a new strategic plan.
“Driving Change 2025” will position the highway and its travelers for the future, according to CEO Steve Hewitt.
Hewitt says KTA will focus on four main areas:
*Attaining national compatibility between toll agencies
*Increasing electronic tolling transponder use like K-TAG and BancPass
*Partnering with the Kansas Department of Transportation and other entities to deliver transportation services across the state
*As mentioned, cashless transportation
No specific projects for the Emporia tollgate, Emporia or Matfield Green service areas or the Flint Hills cattle pens exit have been announced.
The Turnpike Authority says Driving Change aligns with its 2015 long-term needs study. Click here for the link to the KTA’s Driving Change 2025 information page online.
