The Emporia High boys swim and dive team finished in 2nd place out of 10 teams in the Emporia Invitational Thursday with 2 first place finishes and a school record.
Senior diver Reed Slayden finished in first place and set a school record for 6 dives with a score of 299.30.
The 200 free relay team of Andrew Wendling, Cal Kohlmeier, Max Piper and Mason Harmon finished in 1st place, missing automatic state qualifying time by 1 second.
The 400 free relay team of Andrew Wendling, Daniel Knapp, Max Piper and Mason Harmon finished in 2nd place.
Max Piper also finished in 2nd place in the 200 free.
Topeka Hayden finished in 1st place.
