The remnants of wintry weather Friday and Saturday are having an impact on Sunday schedules.
Several churches have canceled their services for the day. Click here for the current list.
The church cancellations follow light snowfall across the KVOE listening area.
*KVOE studios: 2 inches
*Central Emporia: 1 inch
*BETO Junction: 3 inches
*Burlington: 4 inches
*LeRoy: 3 inches
*Melvern: 4 inches
*Olpe: 2 inches
*Reading: 1.5 inches
*Waverly: 4 inches
Travel conditions improved Saturday. Emporia’s major arterial streets are seasonal, while driving conditions on the residential collector streets vary from seasonal to mostly covered. Side streets, residential intersections and elevated surfaces are slick and will remain that way at least for most of Sunday.
Most area highways are now reported as clear by KanDrive.org. Interstate 35 east of Kansas Highway 130, Kansas Highway 58 from Madison east to US Highway 75 and US-75 from I-35 south through Coffey County all have seasonal driving conditions.
