After an exciting, and at times surprising, college football bowl season, three lucky individuals picked up gift cards from Waters True Value Thursday for being the top three competitors in KVOE’s annual Bowl Challenge.
In first place with 76 points was Mitch Moorman who took home a $500 Waters Gift Card. He says he already has some ideas on how to spend his winnings.
Coming in second by just two points was Charla Adams with 74 points. Adams claimed a $300 gift card and certainly had a unique approach when it came to selecting her teams.
In third place was Brendy Allison who was actually selected out of a random drawing as she was one of nine people who ended the challenge with 73 points. Allison received a $200 gift card and says the drawing was almost as nerve-racking as some of the bowl games she watched.
Waters Manager Angelica Barajas says they enjoy being a part of the annual event as it allows them to stay connected with the community.
Participants in the annual challenge scored points by correctly guessing the winners of college football bowl games since mid-December. Additionally, competitors had the opportunity to gain bonus points by collecting bowl challenge buzzwords which were given out during the 7:50 am sportscast on KVOE 1400 am, 96.9 fm and Country 101.7 fm.
