Emporia State’s Foundation Board of Trustees is adding new members — seven, in fact.
Two currently reside in Emporia.
Dorine Harter received a bachelor of science in business in 1972 from Emporia State, following that with a master of business administration degree from ESU in 1973. Her late husband, Jim, served 40 years as Emporia State’s director of international education. A son, two brothers, two nieces and a brother-in-law all received degrees from ESU.
Dr. Brock Kretsinger earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Emporia State in 1970 before attending medical school. Kretsinger practices internal medicine at Cotton-O’Neil in Emporia.
Also named to the board:
*Michael Burbach earned a bachelor of science in business in 1996. He is now a vice president and assistant general counsel for Security Benefit.
*Steve Coen earned a bachelor of science in business in 1976. He is a former president and CEO of the Kansas Health Foundation.
*Cynthia Eisenhauer received a bachelor of science in education in 1970. She is now an independent government financial consultant.
*Ron Frierson earned a bachelor of science in social sciences in 1996. He now directs economic policy for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office.
*Carla Smith received a bachelor of science in education in 1975 and a master’s in curriculum and instruction in 1977. She is a retired educator with USD 259 Wichita.
