The Emporia Recreation Commission’s monthly Board Meeting had several important items on the agenda including the 2019 audit report and leadership team updates on Monday evening.
Sean Gordon of Mize, Houser & Company, P.A. presented the audit report to the Board members and Executive Director Tom McEvoy. McEvoy was pleased with the contents of the report, stating that everything in it was in order.
Following the audit report was the Accountant’s Report, presented by Amy Moody. McEvoy says this was important, given Moody will soon be on medical leave.
Jen Wegener presented the Aquatics Supervisor’s Report to the Board. Some work still needs to occur on the indoor pool at the Lee Beran Recreation Center, says McEvoy.
McEvoy also introduced Shalla Bennett to the Board as the ERC’s newest Marketing Administrator. The next ERC Board Meeting will be on Feb. 17 at 5:30 pm at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
