Light snowfall is possible this week as a winter storm moves across Kansas.
Snow could develop before midnight Tuesday and gradually start changing to rain between sunrise and lunchtime Wednesday. Not much total accumulation is expected — anywhere from a dusting to 3 inches, with up to 2 inches before sunrise — but slick spots are possible Wednesday morning. A cold rain follows for Wednesday afternoon as temperatures climb to the mid- and upper 30s.
Rain is also possible Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon before another chance of a rain-snow mix Thursday night into Friday. Light accumulations are currently expected.
