Four candidates have advanced to the interview stage as USD 251 North Lyon County continues the search for a new superintendent.
Following a lengthy executive session period Monday night, the board announced both the interview dates — Jan. 22, 23, 27 and 29 — and the general framework for each day. The board will have a meet-and-greet session for staff and the general public at 4 pm, with the formal interview following at 5:30 pm.
Finalist names were not immediately announced. Those will be divulged shortly before the interview date. A timetable for a decision will become more clear after the interview process is complete.
The district has officially been working for several months to find the replacement for Mike Mathes, who has been working the last two years on an interim basis and will see his term end in June.
