Drivers west of Emporia could encounter thick fog through the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for Chase County until 6 am Thursday. Visibility could be a quarter-mile or less until the advisory ends.
Freezing fog, a concern with earlier fog episodes this month, is not listed as a concern with this advisory. Overnight lows are expected to stay above freezing.
