The MIAA baseball preseason poll is out. Emporia State is picked 5th. Central Missouri is the pick of the Coaches to win the conference crown. Central Oklahoma is 2nd, Missouri Southern 3rd and Pittsburg State 4th.
After Emporia State its Rogers State, Missouri Western, Northwest Missouri State, Washburn, Northeastern State, Newman and Fort Hays State.
Emporia State Coach Seth Wheeler not surprised by the number 5 pick.
Coach Wheeler says they have a good foundation.
The Hornets will open the season next Friday when they play Pittsburg State in a preseason tournament in Edmond, Oklahoma.
