Community theater is among the events taking place this upcoming weekend.
We Are Emporia Arts Council Theatre, or WEACT, is presenting a mix of Broadway classics Saturday evening, with tunes from Oklahoma!, Aladdin, Jekyll and Hyde, Dear Evan Hansen and Matilda. There will also be a sneak peek at the Emporia High production of Fiddler on the Roof.
The performance is directed and choreographed by Dr. Penelope Speedie and begins at 7:30 pm at the Arts Center Davis Theatre. Doors open at 7 pm. Free will donations are accepted.
